"Immaculate Conception" by Seth D. King

Out of a frying pan...

And into fire...

Out of which rises...
A phoenix...

Like the transformation of a caterpillar into…
A butterfly...

Like a sand irritation inside of an oyster becomes...
A pearl...

Like coal compressed for thousands of years becomes...
A diamond...

Like we were born to live through our struggle and pain

in this life...

Our struggle to learn in this life…

And to stand victorious over it all...

Victorious one with all...

Immaculate!

Free.

Now.

Together.

And in the moment next…

"Lion from Clam" by Seth D. King

By Seth D. King

June 27, 2022

Hiding from myself
Hidden behind a mask
Not knowing who I am
Afraid of attention
Pre self-realization
Pre self-invention
Mom and dad couldn’t hold it together
Temporary stole away our forever
Reasons made them separate
When my brother was 4 and I was 8
Nothing was intended

A boy left unguided

Living with mom, but she could not reach
Dad too far away to teach

I was quiet, shy, and meek

Where is the truth I seek?

Bullied and called “clam”

A boy who felt insignificant

World split apart and aside tossed

Innocent, but still innocence lost

Abused, spoiled, and neglected

A torn mind and heart

Like it was my fault they split apart

Stigmata mirror made vertigo

Stunted before I could grow

Afraid of what I did not know

Distorted images bent

Criticized for what my parents could not prevent

Vulnerable pushing the world away

Feeling so alone and far away

But light finds a way

To break through the facade

Brilliant ideas found in darkness

Although I continued to resist

The light did persist

Avoiding the spotlight

Yet inside of me spirit burned bright

Failing to realize how powerful I am

Running away from myself

Truth could not stay hidden

The voice spoke from within

A sleeping giant

Death defiant and self-reliant

Resilient and compassionate

Creative and passionate

A savior lives in my soul

A diamond from coal

A courageous man

A lion from clam

A conqueror from lamb

Once a child who felt like a grain of sand

Tempered into steel forged in the fire of teaching

A safe haven was my heart’s own desire

Home found in my classroom & in my own mind

Sensitive, strong, gentle, and kind

Science, technology, humanity, and art

Embraced by my own heart

A blessing to realize my own dream

A love found superior to all appearances of what may seem

Now I can see

The pearl within is me

Where once I seemed drowned

My feet rest now on solid ground

This Light shines out from me to you

Simply now

Being true

Limits are the reason,

Lingering quarantine confinement is the catalyst.

The end brings the insight,

Death’s awareness is the awakening.

No one, in this life, lives forever!

Backed up into a corner,

The necessity comes to take a step.

Realizing finality calls forth action,

There comes a time to leap.

We don’t have forever when we’re no longer asleep!

The world keeps on spinning,

The seasons, they keep on turning.

So, to live this day is what I’m learning!

Before the flag on our coffin is finally folded,

Let our hearts become emboldened.

For we live now for a reason, and we can find our passion!

We can choose a mission and live what is our own vision!

Time for another magic carpet ride,

There’s pipe organ music blasting out stained glass church windows from my soul inside.

So, let’s go now top-down in hybrid electric cherry red convertible cars,

And set our sights from the roots to the stars!

Let’s commune with our fellows,

Greet family and friends with warm hello’s.

Come together, drink, share, and feast!

Perhaps together again smoke the pipe of peace.

Let’s sit down together for a fireside chat,

Tell stories, sing songs, maybe even write a rap.

Tell a few jokes, kiss a baby on the cheek.

Hug grandma, or find an important cause for which to speak!

The world’s wonders call us again to discover,

But the truth is, one day, it will all be over.

And the downside is rose-colored glasses have a tendency to make us not see,

What will, at some point, no longer be.

Because even giant trees will eventually fall down,

And all great souls have a moment to leave this Earth for Higher 🙏🏼 Ground!

A tiny seed can grow into a delicious fruit giving tree,

Homes can be built upon character, goals never surrendered, and family loyalty!

An acorn, in time, becomes the mighty oak,

To speak up, I must, before I choke.

Before the next casket drops,

And perhaps only once our perception of security stops.

There is opportunity in life’s tragedies and trials,

There is a reason for life’s difficulties and long miles!

Petroleum tar becomes roads and tires,

And the strongest among us rise from life’s troubles and fires.

New life grows from a rich and rocky soil,

But even olives and peanuts can, too, make oil.

A flower can bloom from a crack in asphalt to grow,

Where do we go from here, faith leads us, but do we really know?

So, keep on climbing because you can see,

That we are alive and we are free,

To take hold of a husband, wife, or newfound lover,

And through that love make a new father or mother.

To conceive a beautiful child or write a poetic rhyme!

To stop dancing with the devil and take some quiet time.

To sit in silence or take a vacation,

Because life is meant for deep reflection and also joyful celebration!

Before the soldiers fire their final salute,

Let us stand loyal to our families and be resolute!

For parents, children, friends, and one another,

Mother and father, sister and brother.

In the face of inevitable endings,

Let us be loving, caring, and mending,

And no longer pretending.

No more hiding, judging, nor defending.

Courage, peace, healing, and hope to all whom you leave behind, Tia Mona, is what I’m sending!

Rest in peace & rise in paradise in the Everlasting Arms of Our Immaculate Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. 🙏🏼✝️❤️🕊

Love you always, Seth

IX. We are citizens, workers, entrepreneurs, police officers, politicians, governments, and corporations whom are coming together for the common good to facilitate progress for our mutual benefit. We will no longer divide ourselves and steer our world towards war, conflict, poverty, exploitation, and self-destruction. We are here to be brave, kind, just, merciful, philanthropic, and generous such that together we serve, preserve, protect, and defend the future of humankind. We are committed to a peaceful, healthy and sustainable civilization for all humankind.
